Pol Lloveras obtained his PhD in Physics at the University of Barcelona in 2010. After a Postdoctoral period at the École Polytechnique, in 2012 he joined the Department of Physics of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (Spain) where he serves as Associate Professor since 2019.

Over the past 13 years, he has played a pioneering role in the field of barocalorics, co-authoring a number of papers in a diversity of materials. He is also leading investigations on solid-state phase change materials for thermal energy storage within a European Project.
